For the first time in a long while, the California Department of Real Estate (CalDRE) has unveiled the pass rates for the state’s real estate license exam. During the Department of Real Estate Forum Presentation on May 2, 2024, CalDRE shared some revealing statistics: as of FY2023, the overall pass rate for sales agents was 49%, marking a 10% drop from FY20/21.
With less than half of the test-takers passing and many likely attempting the exam multiple times, it’s clear that the exam poses a significant challenge. However, there’s no need to feel overwhelmed. By taking your pre-licensing education seriously and dedicating ample time to study, you can greatly improve your chances of passing on your first attempt. Stay focused, and you’ll be well on your way to a successful real estate career.
